Stanford Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE) is looking for a team of student interns (2 – 3) to join our Strategic Communications team. If you are a communications major or are otherwise interested in applying a strategic communications approach to real-world communications and marketing challenges on campus, this may be the opportunity for you.

 

Overview:

Under the direction of the Chief Officer for Strategic Communications and Marketing for R&DE, the intern team will identify a communications/marketing problem and develop and implement a campaign to address that problem. The work will include, among other tasks:

 

Research. Identifying the target audience and clearly stating the problem to be addressed through interviews, surveys, and other methods.

 

Planning. Developing the strategy, objectives and tactics that are part of the campaign.

 

Implementation. Executing the plan as specified.

 

Evaluation. Using the agreed metrics to measure the success of the program and recommend next steps.

 

Commitment:

Approximately 4 – 6 hours per week. The team will work together at times, but may also work independently or in small groups.

The work is expected to continue throughout the 2018 – 2019 academic year. We encourage applications from students who can make a three-quarter commitment.

Interns will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

 

Pay: $15/hour

Preference will be given to students who have completed Communications 106: Communications Research Methods. Preference will be given to students who can commit to more than one quarter of participation.
