Welcome to Summer Conference Season at Stanford!

Summer conference season begins June 20, 2025 until end of August.

If you are on the main campus this summer as a residential conference participant or residential guest of the university, learn about your university housing by visiting the Housing Service Center (HSC) assigned to you by your program or sponsor below. Contact your program or Stanford Conferences if you are not sure which HSC serves your building.

House Rules & Services 

Check-in & Check-out

Refer to check-in instructions provided by your program, coordinator, or NSSH office. Arrange with your HSC if you are checking out when offices are closed. Guests will be charged for unreturned or lost keys. If you are part of a conference group, your group will be billed directly and may pass the charge unto you.

Mail & Packages 

Your HSC cannot accept mail or packages on your behalf. If you need to receive packages, visit the USPS office to rent a PO Box. or ask a Stanford department colleague if they can receive mail on your behalf. 

Laundry Machines

Complimentary laundry machines are located in the basement or ground floor of each residence. In EVGR, they are located on the 4th Floor, 447B and 5th Floor, 547B. 

Repairs & Maintenance

Call or visit your HSC to report any needed repairs or maintenance.  For after-hours emergency, call (650)725-1602.

Lockouts

If you are locked out of your room during regular office hours, go to your HSC for assistance. If this happens after office hours, call (650)725-1602.

Parking Permits

Posted parking restrictions are enforced on a 24/7 basis. Consult your program for residential parking permits and how to purchase them. Special permits and visitor parking information can be found at the Stanford Transportation website. 

Prohibited Items & Smoking

Pets, candles, items with an open flame, halogen lamps, weapons, illegal substances and recreational Marijuana are strictly prohibited. Alcohol is permitted only in adult residential buildings.  Smoking is prohibited inside any residence or campus building, or within 30 feet of these buildings.

Reporting Emergencies

For medical/fire/police emergencies, call 911. Bright blue phone towers around campus are used for emergency calls. Report all emergencies to your program and HSC staff as soon as possible, especially if any medical, fire or police services are involved.

Emergency Response, Safety & Security

Fire and earthquake evacuation and your Emergency Assembly Point (EAP) are posted behind the door of your room or online at the Environmental Health & Safety page. Up-to-the-minute emergency updates are available at emergency.stanford.edu. When away from your room, please keep windows and doors locked, and do not prop open any residence hall exit doors.  Stanford University is not responsible for lost or missing items. Please alert your HSC staff if you observe any suspicious persons in or around your residence.  Stanford employees working in the residences should be wearing Stanford name badges.

Resident Fellows & Community Associates

Faculty, professional staff, and students live in residences all year round and are part of the residential education community -- they play a vital role in a Stanford education.  Please respect the living spaces of these residents by caring for our facilities, limiting noise, following dorms rules and campus regulations.
