You know the drill…you're up late studying until you’re not only delirious but also ravenous. Luckily, Stanford’s Residential & Dining Enterprises has a variety of options—many of them healthy—that are perfect for night owls looking for late-night sustenance. As if the food weren't enough, Late-night at Lakeside and Arrillaga Nights
feature student DJ's spinning your favorite tunes from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. every Thursday night.
Late-Night Kitchen at Lakeside

Lakeside offers plenty of tasty eats for those up late. Enjoy a variety of subs, including chicken parmesan, meatball and turkey/avocado, or try a juicy, all-beef burger. Don’t eat meat? Order the vegetarian burger, which comes with a chipotle black bean patty on a buttery brioche bun.
A variety of pizzas—both 7-inch personal size and large 16-inch—are available, making Late-Night Kitchen perfect for lone studiers or large study groups. Add a garden, Caesar or chicken Caesar salad to make it a complete meal.
Celine Foster, ’22, a self-proclaimed milkshake connoisseur, frequents Late-Night Kitchen with friends. “It’s a good way to end the night” she says. “We bond over Oreo milkshakes and mozzarella sticks and enjoy that special time together.”
The dessert menu also includes the pizookie, a warm chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. “The cookie is slightly undercooked so it’s all gooey and delicious,” says Seneca Friend ‘20. As if the food weren't enough, Late-night at Lakeside features DJ's spinning your favorite tunes from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Arrillaga Nights at Arrillaga Family Dining Commons

A similar menu is available at Arrillaga Family Dining Commons. That’s where Adam Gurary, ’22, goes when he’s hungry. “I’ll come really late when I’m starving and get a quesadilla,” he says. “The chicken tenders are also really good.”
The breakfast burritos are a popular menu item at both Arrillaga and Lakeside. They come with a whole wheat tortilla, scrambled eggs, onions, peppers, bacon, sausage, tater tots and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Yum!
