R&DE celebrates and honors our dedicated and hard-working custodial teams
International Housekeeping Week (IHW) is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the vital contributions of our Stanford R&DE custodial team. These hardworking individuals ensure that our campus remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the entire Stanford community. Their commitment is fundamental to our success, and this week offers an opportunity to show our gratitude.
Handwritten notes expressing gratitude for each individual’s hard work can make a big impact. Be specific about what you appreciate.
Create a “Wall of Appreciation” where staff members and students can post messages of gratitude and recognition for the housekeeping team.
Small gestures, like offering coffee, pastries, or snacks during break times, can help show that you value the custodial team’s hard work.
Give a shout-out to your team during campus-wide communications, recognizing their essential role in maintaining Stanford’s high standards.
Use team meetings to highlight the outstanding efforts of custodial staff, sharing stories of their impact and contributions.
Let’s take this week to show our custodial staff that their hard work does not go unnoticed and that they are truly valued members of R&DE and the Stanford community.
