At Stanford R&DE, we provide an exceptional dining experience regardless of your living location. With locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients, our talented chefs craft delicious options for every meal of the day. In order to control the flow of students and adhere to physical distancing guidelines, students will be assigned to a specific dining location based on their housing assignment.
All of our locations provide high-quality, diverse menu options, and exceptional service while meeting the diversity of dietary needs of our Stanford community. Undergraduate Meal Plans

The R&DE Food Safety Program achieves a high standard of food safety by setting stringent guidelines, communicating frequently, conducting regular training and audits, and executing our Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

R&DE Stanford Dining’s award-winning Sustainable Food Program, collaborates on many aspects of complex global food systems—from equitable supply chains, climate-smart dining, and regenerative agriculture, to reducing food waste and shifting diets towards plant-forward options.
The R&DE Teaching Kitchen @ Stanford provides cooking classes to students, staff, and faculty, and is the culinary training facility for R&DE Stanford Dining staff.
R&DE has implemented enhanced cleaning, disinfecting and safety procedures in the dining halls and retail locations during the coronavirus pandemic.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Residential & Dining Enterprises has developed comprehensive programs in our dining halls and retail locations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep the Stanford community safe. While continuing to provide a positive dining experience for students, we’ve implemented the following:
- All meals, beverages and condiments offered prepackaged and to-go.
- Contactless ordering and dining hall check-in.
- Designated handwashing stations at each dining hall entrance.
- Mandatory face coverings.
- Mandatory temperature checks required for all employees prior to arriving on campus.
- R&DE Stanford Dining’s CleanDining program.
