Stanford Guest House: Transportation [1]
Transportation services may be impacted by the COVID-19 situation. Please contact our front desk at (650) 926-2800 for details.
Guest House Shuttle
Our shuttle provides daily door-to-door transportation throughout Stanford University and Stanford Medicine. The shuttle is typically available during weekdays between 6:00am and 11:00pm and on weekends between 7:00am and 10:00pm, subject to driver availability. Due to the demand for this service, advanced reservations are highly recommended.
Stanford Shuttle
Stanford’s Marguerite Shuttle [2] provides complimentary transportation to and from the university on business days. The SLAC line stops at the Guest House approximately every thirty minutes between 7:30am and 8:30pm Monday – Friday (excluding university holidays). Please check their service route and schedule [3] for complete information.
Airport Shuttle
We recommend the use of private car services such as Uber [4] and Lyft [5] for door-to-door service from San Francisco International (SFO), San Jose International (SJC), and Oakland International (OAK) airports. Please contact our front desk if you need to arrange a reliable cab service. SuperShuttle has closed all Bay Area operations.
Charter Shuttle
Groups reserving multiple rooms may be required to charter their own shuttles around Stanford. Stanford’s Parking & Transportation Services [6] offers convenient, low-cost charter transportation throughout the university. They offer a variety of shuttle sizes and include drivers who are familiar with the campus.
Rental Car
Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Stanford Branch [7] offers customized rental services and pricing to the Stanford community. Stanford discounts are included in their on-line reservation form and vehicles can be dropped off and picked up directly at the Guest House.
Public Transportation
Caltrain [8] is a commuter rail service that runs daily between Gilroy and San Francisco. The closest stop to Stanford is the Palo Alto Transit Center at University Avenue. A complete list of Bay Area public transportation options can be found at 511.org [9].
