With the launch of the Presidential IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access in a Learning community) Initiative in 2019 and the Racial Justice Initiative, Stanford affirms its commitment to the value of diversity and inclusion to the mission of the university. The Equity, Access, and Society Theme (EAST) House, is a residential space to explore, affirm, and debate what inclusion, diversity, equity, and access mean to Stanford, and our local, national, and global communities.

We envision EAST House will be a residential space where undergraduate students will bring their diverse backgrounds and interests to be immersed in myriad experiences, discussions, and opportunities relevant to equity and access from a variety of perspectives and disciplines.
