Escondido South Apartments
Overview
Escondido South is a vibrant area located between Rains, Escondido Standard Studio One and the Graduate Community Center. The neighborhood consists of 88 two- to three-bedroom townhouses located in two-story buildings called “low-rises.” Single students and families are assigned here. Escondido South has a play structure, open space, a picnic area with grills and tables for student use, and two dedicated laundry rooms.
Escondido South was renovated in 2016.

Volleyball, Basketball and Tennis Courts
Escondido South residents can use a paved volleyball court, basketball court and tennis courts located in the center of the village. All courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Barbecue Area
Barbecue grills and picnic tables are available throughout Escondido South on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meeting Rooms
Escondido South residents may reserve, without charge, meeting rooms in the Graduate Community Center and the adjacent Village Center. Laundry Rooms
Rent includes Student Housing’s "Just Like Home" laundry program, which gives residents unlimited use; no coins or cards required.
Escondido South laundry rooms are located in buildings 128 and 137.
Computer Clusters
Residents of Escondido South have access to all EV and Rains computer clusters. The two closest clusters are in Rains: Hacienda Commons 205, and Building 231. These computer clusters are equipped with desktop computers, laser printers and various software applications.

Note: Students who want to bring their own bed may store the university bed at their own expense. No storage is available for unneeded furniture. Students provide their own cookware, dishes, utensils, towels and other kitchen items.
