Kennedy Graduate Residences
Overview
The Kennedy Graduate Residences in Escondido Village are available to graduate students in all disciplines. Beautifully appointed, fully-furnished apartments with private bedrooms and bathrooms offer contemporary kitchens and other high-quality amenities including a new commons building. The residences consist of junior two-bedroom, two-bath apartments, premium studios, and premium two-bedroom, two-bath apartments, available to single students. The premium studios are also available as a housing option for couples without children and single parents with one child.
This residence is located in the heart of Escondido Village, convenient to amenities and services, including the Graduate Community Center.

Note: Bed linens will need to be purchased for full-size, extra-long beds or queen-size beds, depending on apartment type. Students who want to bring their own beds may store the university bed at their own expense. No storage is available for unneeded furniture. Students provide their own cookware, dishes, utensils, towels and other kitchen items.
About the Buildings
Named for Donald Kennedy, who served as Stanford’s president from 1980 to 1992, the Kennedy Graduate Residences consist of four four-story buildings with exceptional campus views.
Sustainability
This residence is connected to the campus' Central Energy Facility which supplies hot and chilled water for heating and cooling. The energy plant reduces greenhouse gas emissions for the campus by 68% per year, and water consumption by 33% compared to the previous steam plant. The plant reduces energy used to heat and cool residential buildings by 40%.
