Stanford Hopkins Residences
Overview
The Stanford Hopkins Residences in beautiful Monterey, CA are available to students enrolled in courses at the Hopkins Marine Station. Beautifully appointed, fully furnished apartments with shared bedrooms and bathrooms offer contemporary kitchens and gorgeous views of Monterey Bay. The main Victorian residence consists of two units, each with shared bedrooms, bathrooms and communal spaces. The cottages contain one- and two-bedroom options for smaller cohorts. Note that all units are shared, and single occupancy may not be available.
This residence is located in the heart of Monterey, seven blocks from the Hopkins Marine Station, convenient to amenities and services. Support is provided by local property management. For repairs, lock outs, or issues with Internet service, please follow the chart.

Note: Bed linens will need to be purchased for twin-size, extra-long beds, depending on apartment type. Students who want to bring their own beds may store the university bed at their own expense. No storage is available for unneeded furniture. Students provide their own cookware, dishes, utensils, towels and other kitchen items.
About the Buildings
In 2000, with a generous gift from the Friends of the Hopkins Marine Station, Stanford Student Housing purchased a complex of apartments and cottages at 651 and 675 Belden Street. Known as the Stanford Hopkins Residences, the main Victorian house is divided into two units, each with shared spaces. The Floyd and Berlin Cottages offer smaller shared spaces.
Support for the Stanford Hopkins Residences is provided by a Monterey-based property management company who works in coordination with Stanford Student Housing.

Sustainability
Recycling and composting are available at the Stanford Hopkins Residences. Units are furnished with individual bins. Large bins in the parking lot for landfill, recycling, and compost are serviced weekly.
