Undergraduate Housing Options – Summer 2021

R&DE Student Housing provides a home away from home for eligible undergraduate students.

Some students assigned to single rooms will have extra furniture, since these spaces used to be doubles, triples or quads. We will not be able to remove and store any of the furniture in your room. You are welcome to use this extra furniture, but only you are permitted to live in your assigned space.

One of the housing options available to you will be the new Escondido Village Graduate Residences, which opened last fall. The complex is made up of four buildings and undergraduate students will be housed in all of Building A, across the street from the Mirrielees Apartments. Every student in EVGR-A will have their own private bedroom and bathroom. Two-bedroom units have common areas of various sizes.

Please be sure to see meal plan requirements, below. Units in EVGR Building A will have refrigerators and microwaves, but no stoves or ovens. Residence hall rooms will be equipped with minifridges.

Please note that it can be quite hot on the Stanford campus during the summer months. Undergraduate residences do not have air conditioning. EVGR-A has tempered air, which keeps the overall temperature of the building within a comfortable range but does not offer the same level of control as traditional air conditioning.

I absolutely love connecting with residents through on-campus housing. It’s so great to see students from all backgrounds and with different interests living together and building lasting relationships. It’s a unique experience to immerse your living with those who might be different from you.

Dining & Meal Plans

At Stanford R&DE, we provide an exceptional dining experience regardless of your living location. With locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients, our talented chefs craft delicious options for every meal of the day. A Stanford Dining meal plan will be required of all undergraduates. Units in EVGR Building A will have refrigerators and microwaves, but no stoves or ovens. In order to control the flow of students and adhere to physical distancing guidelines, students will be assigned to a specific dining location based on their housing assignment.
