Stanford Community Connection Circles

While navigating challenges and celebrating triumphs, we practice nonviolent communication and empathic listening. About Women's Leadership Development Program

The Women’s Leadership Development Program (WLDP) was founded by Dr. Shirley Everett in 2013 to provide professional development, resources, and support to leaders in the Stanford Dining, Hospitality & Auxiliaries division of Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE). The program is now open to all staff across all R&DE divisions and to the greater campus community. WLDP is just one of the programs created to guide and mentor individuals to discover their potential, ignite their power,
and cultivate their excellence.

The WLDP Co-Chairs, Amanda Gotthold and Cyndi McCollister, hosts weekly and monthly discussion groups and workshops to uplift others while enhancing their professional and personal development. Individuals of everyone and backgrounds are welcome to be a part of this program.

In its more than ten-year history, our group has provided opportunities for leadership growth and development through monthly programs and in the university-wide Women’s Leadership Summit annual event now in its fourth year. We welcome everyone from staff, faculty and students across the university participating in our programs.

We invite you to join us in helping everyone bring their best selves to work with a feeling of belonging and purpose. To help you get involved, please consider participating in one or more of our ongoing events.

The Keith L. Guy Award was bestowed upon the Women’s Leadership Council to honor outstanding individuals who demonstrated exemplary service within Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE) at Stanford University. The award was received on December 13 at the 2024 Employee Awards, Recognition Ceremony & Holiday Event at Arrillaga Family Dining Commons. The event was hosted by Dr. Shirley J. Everett, Senior Associate Vice Provost for R&DE.
