National Hispanic Heritage Event

In October R&DE held a celebration in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The in-person event allowed R&DE staff to celebrate together with cultural food, music, dance and trivia.
During the The Menus of Change University Research Collaborative (MCURC) Annual Meeting, the Equitable Harvest Black Farmer Initiative video was premiered.

A celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, and in support of our core value to, “Value & Embrace Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging,” R&DE hosted a series of celebrations to honor the AAPI community.
An interactive exhibition held by R&DE that explored the latest research in food systems and agriculture, featuring work from Stanford students, faculty, staff and alumni.

At the R&DE Black History Month Celebration, "Celebrating Black History through Music," Professor Adam Banks delighted and educated staff with an exploration of the centrality of music to the Black experience in America and the ways music is used to express joy and pain and aspirations for a more just and equitable society.
