Cardinal Café serves made-to-order burgers, grilled sandwiches and staff-favorite sides—including its signature chipotle maple fries—along with build-your-own salads and grain bowls, pizza by the slice, and weekly specials.
At the Cardinal To Go Mini Market, guests can enjoy handcrafted Verve specialty coffees, seasonal beverages and loose-leaf teas, plus fresh pastries, yogurt parfaits, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options, desserts, snacks and bottled beverages.

Cardinal Hall Conference Center and Cardinal Café Dining Pavilion offer flexible spaces for all group sizes and activities, and Stanford Square is a perfect location to host a summer BBQ or outdoor lunch. Convenient Ordering and Payment Options
We offer convenient self-order kiosks in our location - within the café and Cardinal To Go mini market. Cashier and self-checkout options are also available.
We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cardinal Dollars,* and all major credits cards.
Proceeds from R&DE SDHA cafés and markets help offset increases in room and board, and support student programs.

Sustainability Commitment
Sustainability is a core value and a way of life in R&DE. On the main campus, we’ve launched award-winning programs to lower utility use and chemical-free green cleaning. At the Cardinal Café, our sustainability program includes:
- Simple, delicious foods made with quality ingredients, locally and sustainably sourced when possible
- Reusable dish ware in the café, and compostable plates and cutlery for carry-out
- Three-stream waste disposal (recycling, compost, landfill)
- Educational programming to help the Stanford community live more sustainably
