The stunning Stanford Redwood City campus is home to many of the university’s core business functions as well as the School of Medicine. Cardinal Hall houses a modern, well-appointed conference center – managed and catered to exclusively by Residential and Dining Enterprises’ Cardinal Café Catering and Conferences team. The conference center is available for Stanford University and Stanford Healthcare meetings and conferences.

Our menu features delicious Sandwich Box, Salad Box, and Sandwich & Salad Combo Box options along with add-ons, making it simple to order for your group. Our chefs select fresh, seasonal ingredients, sourced from local vendors including the O’Donohue Family Stanford Educational Farm.
We use sustainable packaging, utensils, and napkins that can be recycled or composted.

Easily make your menu selection, add the delivery date, time & location, provide your department PTA or credit card information, and finalize your order. Orders must be placed 3 business days in advance of your delivery date.

Highlights of the Conference Center
Located on the ground level of Cardinal Hall, the Conference Center consists of a large, flexible meeting room that can accommodate up to 200 people or divide into two rooms for up to 80 people. In addition, the Conference Center has multiple smaller meeting rooms to accommodate four to 40 people. Also located in Cardinal Hall, Cardinal Café’s Dining Pavilion offers flexible spaces for all group sizes and activities and the Conference Center’s courtyard, Stanford Square, is a perfect location to host outdoor events.

We are dedicated to making your meeting or conference as unique and memorable as possible. Our highly experienced team will work directly with you, providing full support and imaginative proposals. We work with the most talented vendors in the market and can assist with room design, florals, and culinary flare to bring your vision to life, whether you are after a simple and elegant lunch or a complex and creative conference.

Sustainability
R&DE is a leader of sustainability efforts on campus – from the responsible and humane sourcing of our food to our energy-efficient residences and dining locations and our commitment towards zero-waste events. Stanford Hospitality has partnered with Sustainable Stanford to ensure our catering not only meets but exceeds the university’s Cardinal Green standards. We emphasize best practices in water conservation, minimizing resources and waste, and using local resources for food and services.
Proceeds from R&DE catering help offset increases in room and board, and support student programs.
Reservations and Booking Guidelines
Cardinal Hall offers a variety of conference rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 160 guests, that can be reserved for Stanford University and Stanford Healthcare meetings and conferences.
The Process
Once you have completed the request form, one of our talented conference coordinators will review your request and respond to you with availability and relevant rental information. They will also send you a comprehensive preliminary event proposal, including requested catering, room set-up and A/V details. Please note that in order to guarantee the event date and space, a department PTA and signed event proposal is required.
Making Changes
All gatherings – from large, multi-faceted conferences to focused retreats or business meetings – can be personalized. We understand details change as your program evolves over time and are happy to assist with changes to your scheduled event. However, all changes must be made a minimum of 7 days in advance of your event date. Contractual changes made within 6 days are subject to availability and additional fees.
