R&DE Renovation Projects in Graduate Student Residences

The goal of R&DE’s Maintenance Operations & Capital Projects (MCP) team is to ensure student comfort and safety in their campus homes. MCP provides routine maintenance and system upgrades year-round, with minimal disruption to students.

However, some projects are so extensive that they can only be completed in unoccupied apartments. In these cases, students are relocated (temporarily or permanently) to other apartments/buildings to facilitate the renovations. R&DE will provide more detailed information about the project in the academic year before the scheduled start date.

The chart below lists major renovation projects through the 2028-2029 academic year. In the chart, "Full Closure" means that all apartments in that building will be unoccupied. "Partial Closure" means, for example, that work will take place in apartments within a section of the building, while students are still living in other sections We hope this will be useful as you consider residence options. We have also provided maps for each academic year, for a visual representation of planned projects at that time.

Please note that renovation schedules do change. This chart will be updated quarterly to reflect plans at that time.
